Children are our Future
Children are our future, therefore we as professionals should help them to grow, learn, and prosper in all areas that will enable them to become prominent citizens of society. Children learn as they grow from each other and their teachers. In today's society children have the opportunity to excel in all developmental domains, physically, socially, emotionally, and cognitively. We as professionals need to be postive role models for young children and show them that we care about their well being and social development. Communication between adults and children is very important, therefore adults should provide as much meaningful levels of communication as possible whenever needed. I beleive that children of our future will be successful in life if given the proper learning tools.

It's definitely important to invest in our children because they hold our future in their hands. It saddens me when we have to fight to get government and other social entities to realize exactly how important this investment is. Our society emphasizes the importance of education, but build prisons instead of educational programs. We as educators, parents and child advocates have to continue the fight of highlighting the value of providing high quality educational programs for today's youth.Children are definitely capable of achieving with the appropriate resources and support systems in place.

Keisha, I have really enjoyed reading you blog and getting to know you. I absolutely agree with you children are our future and the choices that we make for them today affect our tomorrow. I found your blog to be very educational and inspiring! Good luck in the future!
ReplyDeleteKeisha, Yes, I agree communication between children and educators is extremely important. When speaking to children we need to make sure that we are using kid friendly language and are not talking above their head. We as educators must engage in meaningful conversations to increase our students ability to communicate with others as they themselves become effective communicators.
